The gift of gliding makes the perfect
present.
These options are perfect for someone who
has never flown.
The Flying
Start is what we call our half day introductory
course to gliding which includes three glider flights and
a three month trial membership of Lasham.
Individual Trial
Membership glider flights also include a three
month trial membership of Lasham and a single glider flight.
Each glider flight is actually a gliding
lesson. It starts with a tow behind an
aeroplane up to 2500ft. Your instructor
will be in control so this is your chance
to enjoy the view across to the Isle of
Wight on a good day, or look down on Basingstoke,
Alton and picturesque Hampshire villages.
When the tow is released you will have
the opportunity to try your hand at the
controls, under your instructor's expert
supervision of course. Each flight will
typically last between 10 - 15 minutes.
Either option makes a sensational Christmas or birthday present
and they are available during the day seven days a week.
David Williams received a surprise present in the post one
morning.
